There was once a time when a dog was a dog. They stayed outside in the dog house, ran around the yard, fetched balls and buried bones. Well, those dog days are long gone. The dogs of today tend to be more of an accessory than an actual pet, with the animal being as small as possible. Teacup sized dogs are popping up left and right. Everywhere you look it is as if everyone has a furry little creature in their arms and the adorable (or pathetic depending on how you look at it) dog clothes they put on these animals is enough to make even the hardest of hearts go soft. Celebrities accessorize their pooches and change the dogs’ outfits as often as they change their own outfits. There is no kidding around with the dog outfits of today. They mean business.
Many people buy these little dogs when they don’t have children. Some of them use these dogs as a substitution for not having children yet, or for practice before they do have children.
